Types of Membership
There are four types of membership: Active, affiliate, transitional and student memberships. Active WSMGMA members are full-time employees who serve in a managerial capacity in a medical group practice, ambulatory healthcare organization, or multi-unit health care system that consists of one or more full-time licensed doctors of medicine. Affiliate membership is available for those employed by medical group practices outside of the state of Washington, and transitional and student memberships are also available. Cost of Membership
Membership dues are $130.00 per year. Student memberships are $30.00 per year.

| Electronic Communications – Throughout the year, WSMGMA provides you with “e-Update” e-mail broadcasts packed with news on state and national issues, regulatory and legislative issues, and practice tips and resources. WSMGMA’s Membership E-Mail Listserv is designed to facilitate dialogue and idea sharing among members about current practice management issues. All members are encouraged to pose and respond to questions, participate in discussions, offer ideas and share experiences with others. | |
| Online Membership Directory – Members can contact colleagues who are ready and willing to help you in any way they can. There is always a current version of our confidential membership directory available on the WSMGMA web site. | |
| Practice Tools - Practice Tools, accessed exclusively by our members, is a collection of policies, forms, job descriptions, manuals, survey, and various other valuable documents for our members to use in their practice. | |
| Salary Survey - WSMGMA coordinates a state-wide annual salary survey to measure the competitiveness and effectiveness of your staff compensation programs. If you participate in our annual salary surveys, survey results are available free of charge. The survey is available to WSMGMA members who do not participate in the survey for $250. The cost for non-members is $500. | |
| Educational and Networking Opportunities – Throughout the year, WSMGMA provides educational and networking opportunities, including our annual conference and numerous educational seminars in conjunction with Washington State Medical Association. WSMGMA members receive a $100 savings when attending the annual WSMGMA conference, and may participate in WSMA/WSMGMA Sponsored Practice Management Seminars at half the rate – a savings of $100 per seminar! | |
| Membership Directory - A hard copy of the WSMGMA membership directory is available to WSMGMA Partners upon joining the Partners Program and each year upon renewal. | |
| WSMA Benefits – Receive the same information your physicians receive from the WSMA. As a member of WSMGMA, you will receive free issues of WSMA Reports and Membership Memo, along with free access to the WSMA “Members Only” confidential web pages. This is like having a membership in WSMA (a $485 value), for just the price of your WSMGMA dues. |
How To Join
To join, download the WSMGMA Membership Application. Complete the application and return it along with an organizational chart indicating your position in your group, a sample of your group’s stationary, and payment of your membership dues by check or credit card (Visa and MasterCard only).
