Manager - OMC Primary Care
Job Summary:
Coordinates and manages overall operations of Overlake Medical Clinics, LLC as assigned. Directs the business, technical and clinical support activities of the clinic. Collaborates with clinic physicians to maintain and improve services. Supervises clinic staff, prepares budgets and reports, responsible for space planning, maintenance, procurement of supplies and contract services. Acts as the clinic leader to ensure the goals of the clinic and organization are met.

Key Responsibilities(includes, but not limited to):

  1. Plan and integrate functions and services to support OMC’s goals and priorities.
  2. Build effective working relationships throughout the organization with managers, staff, physicians, customers, and suppliers.
  3. Provide leadership for effective service.

LABORATORY DIRECTOR

This position reports to the Vice President of Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Officer with a dotted line to the Medical Director of Pathology.  Direct reports include 2 Lab Managers and 8 Lab Supervisors operating approximately 100 FTE’s in the areas of Quality and Safety, Lab Support Services, Couriers, Physician and Patient Support, Lab Business Development, Marketing, and Sales, Lab Information Systems, Technology Development, Lab Billing, Reference Testing, Lab Operations, Hematology, UA, Coag, BB, and Histology.  Must be able to demonstrate proven experience in developing and maintaining high clinical practice standards, finance and the development of staff. 
Essential Functions:

  • Meets the clinical laboratory needs of physicians and staff in developing and implementing an integrated service line model across Service Areas (e.g., hospital, outreach, clinical and anatomic pathology).
  • Determines the type and manner in which laboratory services will be provided throughout the Service Areas.
  • Develops and administers policies and procedures, which are in keeping with the service value, quality and access goals of the Service Area.
  • Manages the technical, clinical, and operational aspects of the laboratory and pathology services at all Service Areas.
  • Ensures technical and support staff provide the highest quality of care and are in compliance with CAP, CLIA, The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Develops, negotiates and monitors budgets and resource allocations for the clinical lab
  • Oversees and develops clinical practice standards, staffing, payroll, budgets, fiscal management, and quality improvement activities.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective collaborative working relationship with service area providers to identify and resolve problems/issues and improve delivery of laboratory services.
  • Ensures on-going laboratory staff development.
  • Develops and presents in-service programs to medical center and medical office staff.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors laboratory policies and procedures throughout the Service Area which support the organizations business goals.
  • Establishes, implements, monitors and enhances quality control/assurance/risk management programs.
  • Monitors test results, equipment, and laboratory information systems.
  • Designs and implements the laboratory safety program, including hazardous waste management, chemical hygiene plan, and injury prevention program.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a baccalaureate degree in science or medical technology, or the equivalent.
  • 5 years experience in a high volume acute care clinical laboratory required.
  • 5 years management experience required.
  • Must qualify via education and experience under the State of Washington regulations (Department of Health) and federal regulations (CLIA).
  • Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, The Joint Commission, local, state, federal regulations required.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management and Partnership environment.
  • MT/MLT Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-baccalaureate degree in management, business and/or laboratory related sciences is strongly preferred.

Credentialing Specialist
Coordinates and assists with the development and operational management of the YVFWC credentialing/privilege delineation/reappointment program to ensure the programs integrity while ensuring conformity to established policies and procedures, The Joint Commission standards, and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university (medical staff services sciences program desired) or other education in business and/or medical staff office procedures preferred.
Experience: Minimum three years of credentialing coordinator experience in credentialing/re-credentialing and privileging processes.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Certified Professional Medical Services Management or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (or to become eligible within two years).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Ability to be extremely organized and reliable; ability to have professional sophistication, presence, and comfort level to facilitate work with health care professionals (i.e., MDs, PhDs, etc.); ability to use a considerable amount of independent judgment in the performance of duties; ability to direct investigations and resolve issues of high importance and/or significance pertaining to the credentialing and privileging processes; ability to handle multiple project simultaneously and with frequent interruptions; ability to communicate effectively with professional medical staff (oral and written); ability to read and interpret documents; ability to self-manage time with minimal supervision; and the ability to handle sensitive, private information with confidentiality and diplomacy. Must be computer literate with experience with MS Office and the use of data management systems. Knowledge of data collection methods and an appreciation for the value of data integrity.

Regional Operations Manager – Southeastern Washington

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field, Master’s degree preferred.

Administrative Service Manager
We have a great opportunity for a healthcare manager to get their feet wet! This position is designed for advancement and growth with the organization. You will supervise a staff of up to 20 and develop and implement clinic policies and procedures to improve clinic processes and patient flow. Masters preferred.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience or a Masters in Health Administration or Masters in Business Administration.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant administrative experience.

Director of Planning and Development
We have a unique and exciting opportunity for an MPH-prepared and experienced grant writer with a proven track record of awarded state and federal grants. We are looking for a Senior Director-level candidate with experience in corporate planning including community assessments, strategic goal setting and public policy. With a staff of five including grant writers and program evaluators, you will have the opportunity not only write grants but be involved in corporate-wide initiatives and growth. The Planning & Development department builds capacity and sustainability across the organization. We do this by securing funding (grants), program development, program evaluation, assessments and feasibility studies, strategic planning and public policy analysis and advocacy.
