Stop Acting Your Age!

Matt Havens

Matt Havens PhotoIf you’ve listened to any other discussion about generational issues at work, then you’ve undoubtedly been told there are four distinct generations operating side-by-side in today’s working world. You’ve then been told the differences between those four generations, and then you’ve been told (although probably not in these exact words) that you need to just deal with all these different people, because they’re not going away and they’re not going to change how they operate. If that advice suits you, fantastic.

However, if you’ve ever been frustrated by how impossible it seems to employ four different strategies to manage four distinct generations, and if you’ve ever felt like you’re the only one who’s being asked to make any changes, then Stop Acting Your Age! is exactly what you need. Because it turns out that there really aren’t four generations. In this hysterical keynote, you’ll learn a simpler way of looking at your own generational picture, and you’ll also learn how to understand, recognize, and resolve every generational issue facing today’s workforce. That’s no exaggeration; by the end of Stop Acting Your Age!, you and your colleagues will walk away with all of the knowledge you’ll need to address 100% of the generational issues you’ll face for the rest of your career. Other generational presentations focus on what people want, but Stop Acting Your Age! will tell you why everyone wants the different things they do. It’s an important distinction, and it will make implementing new solutions easier than you ever thought possible.

So, get ready to laugh more and learn more than you ever thought possible. Because improving your generational issues doesn’t have to be boring.

Bio: Engaging. Hilarious. Unique.

These are just a few of the words that Matt uses to describe himself. Fortunately, others seem to agree.

For the past decade, Matt has been at the forefront of generational issues, working in various leadership roles at a Fortune 50 company in areas as diverse as marketing, employee retention, and management. Because of this expertise, Matt created his new keynote presentation on generational issues in the
workplace, Stop Acting Your Age! An Entertaining Keynote to Help You Avoid Generational Warfare.

Matt has quickly become a must-have for any event where audiences want to learn something new while laughing at the same time. You’ll soon learn why one of Matt’s clients has called him “both the funniest and most informative speaker I have ever heard in my life.”

No More Team Drama: Creating a Culture of Camaraderie & Common Cause

Joe Mull

Joe Mull PhotoGossip. Cliques. Eye-rolling.

Fostering group cohesion and team spirit is one of the toughest jobs a leader has. In the high-contact, compassion-demanding world of healthcare things like grumbling, discord, infighting, back-biting, and conflict can derail even the most talented team. This funny, engrossing presentation goes well beyond the concept of “teambuilding” and teaches leaders how to influence the interpersonal dynamics of workplace teams so they consistently work hard, get along, and wow customers.

Bio: Joe Mull, M. Ed works with healthcare organizations that want their leaders to engage, inspire, & succeed. Prior to launching his own firm, Joe was head of Learning & Development for Physician Services at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a U.S. News and World Reports Top 10 Hospital and Healthcare System. In his role Joe directed learning strategy and implementation for one of the largest physician groups in the United States: over 9,000 employees across more than 500 clinical locations. In 2014, he published his first book: Cure for the Common Leader: What Physicians & Managers Must Do to Engage and Inspire Healthcare Teams. Called “one of the most practical healthcare leadership books you will ever read,” Cure for the Common leader translates the latest research on employee engagement into 7 actions healthcare leaders must take to engineer teams that work hard, get along, and wow patients.
